for construction on nine acres, the proposed $200 million
facility will be among the largest such attractions in the
world, with state-of-the-art aquarium equipment for housing
of unique collection of exotic fish and aquatic wildlife.
In the spectacular Deep Ocean Lab themed section, the visitors
will encounter some of the ocean’s most incredible
creatures, such as sharks, stingrays and whales. However,
this new public attraction is envisioned to be more than
                      just the aquarium. Georgia
Aquarium will include a grand meeting space
large enough for 12,000 to 14,000 people and will be designed
for events during the city's biggest conventions. It will
also house several entertainment venues such as 4-D theatre
and number of interactive stations. Almost a quarter of
total floor space will be purely orientated to education.
Facility will accommodate more than 12,000 visitors for
receptions. Plaza space will serve 350 to 500 people for
                      event luncheons. With
its diverse content mix the Georgia
Aquarium is expected to attract more than
2 million visitors in the first year only. |
